Cave's take
Born Screaming opens on a pile-up of fruit and plastic: cherry, blackberry and physalis next to energy drink, a DVD case, a popped balloon, latex and adult toys. The heart moves into the dance club itself, with smoke, saliva, heliotropin and rose, plus datura, boronia and mignonette. Later it settles into myrrh, styrax, patchouli, cabreuva wood and castoreum, with freesia, ambrette seeds and a pearl necklace. Fruity and rubbery at first, resinous and animalic by the end.
Sizes are 2 ml and 5 ml samples, hand-decanted from the original bottle, plus the 60 ml bottle. The Toskovat Discovery Set Mini is a smaller way to start with the house.
If you love the cherry, myrrh, styrax and patchouli, try Spiritica Lynch aka Smoked Styrax. For the club side, Pour Toi DISS lists soda and loud music among its notes.
