Gunpowder and ozone come first, dry and sharp, like the air after something has gone off. The heart turns raw and medicinal: iodine, bandages and blood, with burning flowers adding smoke and guaiac wood, copaiba oil and nagarmotha giving it a woody, earthy body. It settles on fallen concrete, rain, incense and sandalwood, so the overall impression is smoky, mineral and bruised rather than sweet, true to a story about destruction and what is left behind.
You can try it as a 2 ml or 5 ml sample, hand-decanted from the original bottle, or go straight to the 60 ml bottle. The Toskovat Discovery Set is another way into the house.
